Please reach us at tterry@immortalstrat.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
When your organization either relies upon a public-private partnership or sees the benefit of a public-private partnership to grow. Immortal Strategies will first help you understand the pathway toward forming and managing any relationship with a government, quasi-government, or civic organization. We will review the pros and cons, capacity and external affairs needs and the process. Once you have the information you need to decide on how to proceed, we will help you execute the strategy for approvals and help you manage the relationship.
Far too often, organizations that do not fully understand the processes, policies, and politics can endure reputational damage, loss of revenue, and decreased employee morale. When done right, an organization can thrive, and real public benefits can emerge. With decades of experience forming some of the most complicated public-private partnerships in the country, we can help you maximize the likelihood of success.
Here are some examples of when to reach out to us. Check out these successes to learn more about our experience.
Well, frankly, the best thing you can do is hire us 😊. But, please spread the word about Immortal and its capabilities. Any referrals or intros are always appreciated. Also, we are always looking for speaking or writing opportunities to share our insights and perspectives on New York. Finally, we are always exploring strategic alliance opportunities if you have any ideas.
A public-private partnership (PPP) involves collaboration between a government agency and a private-sector company that can be used to finance, build and deliver projects such as public transportation; parks; education and cultural institutions; sports and entertainment venues; human services and health care; technology; and commercial, residential and industrial buildings. A good public-private partnership generates profits for the private entity while delivering significant public benefits. For over 20 years, Immortal Strategies' team has helped form and manage hundreds of successful PPPs across multiple sectors.
If lobbying is necessary to achieve success, Immortal is certainly capable of it. However, much of our work is strategic planning in nature or putting together a team that will deliver the right outcome on time. Depending on the situation, some of the lobbying may be outsourced.
Three reasons: (1) the guidance we will provide and implement is focused on creating organizational ‘immortality’ (i.e. sustainability); (2) The purpose of Immortal is to do work that, when completed, leaves New York in a better place and enables its immortality both in our pride as citizens and as a global leader; and (3) it’s reflective of a previous company I started in my 20s which didn’t last (I wish I had Immortal Strategies to advise me back then) but was an extraordinary learning experience.
A fractional CSO, or Chief Strategy Officer, is a strategic consultant who works with businesses on a part-time or project basis to develop and implement strategic plans for growth and retention. It is a role that Immortal is well-equipped and experienced to play for your organization.
Not at the moment but as business picks up, we most likely will be in the future. If you are interested in working here, please email your resume to tterry@immortalstrat.com and we will keep it on file when a hiring need occurs.
Yes. Our expertise can certainly be applied to projects outside of NYC, and in fact, we have engagements that extend in states and cities across the United States. Our relationships extend well beyond NYC and even internationally.
It's definitely possible if they stay healthy. I still think the Knicks would have beaten the Pacers last year and put up a good fight against the Celtics if OG, Randle, and Brunson didn't get hurt. But, now with KAT and Bridges (and, hopefully, Mitch getting healthy soon), they have some impressive talent and depth. The strong defense on the wings with OG, Bridges, and Precious is critical in the playoffs when they go up against the likes of Giannis, Tatum or Donovan Mitchell. Like I said last year, it’s the most exciting Knicks era since the 90s and if they win, I'm shutting down the firm the day of the ticker tape parade.
I’m still a little worried, however, about their style of play in the playoffs…they need to run some plays to get more easy baskets and stop relying so much on isolations and 3s. That said, Brunson is spectacular with a knack for making clutch shots, he and KAT both deserve to be All Star starters. Josh Hart is a treat to watch; his hustle is second to none and vital to the Knicks success especially those offensive rebounds.
The competition is also stronger than last year, and the Cavs look tough in the Eastern Conference as do the Celtics. The young teams in the West, particularly the Thunder and Rockets are also going to be tough to beat in a 7 game series.
All that said, we are in it. Let's Go Knicks!!
P.S. I reserve the right to update this opinion over time!
